There were many things that the Byzantine Empire had in the cultural field. They had both unique and common diets. They also spoke one main language, but, like the United States, there were many sub-languages that the locals spoke. The Byzantine Empire also had a a complex belief system that incorporated both Greek and Christianity into it. There was also a driving trade in the Byzantine Empire that kept its economy running strong in the beginning. Besides all this serious business, there were also many games and sports that the Byzantines enjoyed doing. This pretty much sums up the cultural mosaic section of the Byzantine Empire.
